One Railpen
RPMI rebrands to Railpen
Railpen
RPMI was born out of two organisations:
-
Railpen Investments, responsible for investing and growing £billions of the Railways Pension Scheme (RPS) assets to pay members' pensions
-
Pensions Management, the RPS administrator
For Railpen Investments – which once had significant brand equity in the investments industry – the RPMI brand failed to leverage that status and over time did little to work to its advantage. And, for Scheme members what matters is the RPS brand. So it made sense to reignite the Railpen name, especially at a time when the investments business was leading the field in areas like Stewardship and Sustainable Ownership.
The 'Railpen' brand, with a simple logo consisting of the name as logotype within the confines of 'rail lines', unites all elements of the organisation as one Railpen with a common purpose. The palette feels confident, warm and calming. The 'waveform' texture is evocative of steel and rust and connects the brand to a long rail industry heritage to instil trust and stability.
